Southeast Louisiana Legal Services Priorities:

Work to help low income people have a decent place to live and protect their housing rights
Obtain safety and stability for children, parents and families
Maintain or enhance economic stability, including protecting the income, assets or rights of low income consumers
Help low income people with access to health care and education
Address needs of populations with special vulnerabilities, including the elderly, the homeless, people with disabilities, people not fluent in English and victims of disasters
Work to increase the availability of legal resources and services to the low income and to improve their access to courts, other legal forums and government programs. Provide advice, brief services, community legal education and information about self-representation.
Provide other services to meet obligations of non-LSC grants/contracts or that are available for volunteers and other providers
