Ana Maria Rivera - Ana is a Tulane University Law School rising 2L. She went to the University of Puerto Rico for her undergraduate degree in San Juan, Puerto Rico. She speaks fluent Spanish and French.

Abigail Legge - Abigail is a Tulane University Law School rising 2L. She went to Macalester College in St Paul, MN for her undergraduate degree and volunteers in New Orleans at the Project for Older Prisoners.

Karen Riewe - Karen is a Duke University School of Law rising 2L. She did her undergraduate work at Tulane and worked at Orleans Public Defenders as an intern investigator.

Covington Office

Karlin Fitzmorris - Karlin is a Loyola University New Orleans College of Law rising 2L. She did her undergraduate work at Southeastern Louisiana University in Hammond. She also interned for Judge Zainey last summer.

Kate Evans - Kate is a Loyola University New Orleans College of Law rising 3L. She went to LSU for her undergraduate degree and interned for the First Appearances Program at Orleans Public Defenders.

Kevin Edler - Kevin is finishing his final year at Tulane University Law School. He plans to continue his volunteer work with SLLS into the summer.

Hammond Office

Brittany Alford - Brittany is a Loyola University New Orleans College of Law rising 3L. She went to Southeastern Louisiana University in Hammond for her undergraduate degree. Brittany interned for Capital Area Legal Services in Baton Rouge last summer.

Jennifer Torquati - Jennifer is a Loyola University New Orleans College of Law rising 2L. She went to University of Southern Mississippi for her undergraduate degree. Jennifer worked as a Home Trainer/ Job Trainer for developmentally disabled adults in Picayune, Mississippi.

Katie Giroir - Katie is a rising 2L at the Paul M. Heber Law Center of Louisiana State University. She went to Nicholls State University for her undergraduate work. Katie recently completed an externship with Judge Randolph H. Parro of the Louisiana Court of Appeal for the First Circuit.

New Orleans Office

Housing

Rose Murray - Rose is a Tulane University Law School rising 2L. Rose went to George Washington University for her undergraduate degree, then worked at the World Justice Project as an Assistant to the Director. Rose is fluent in Swahili and Spanish, and has some French.

Stephen Sanders - Stephen is a Tulane University Law School rising 2L. Stephen received his Masters from Pace University and his undergraduate degree from University of California - Berkeley. Stephen volunteers with the Tulane University Legal Assistance Program. Stephen is fluent in Spanish, French, and Latin.

Mary Mustaller -  Mary is a Tulane University Law School rising 3L. Mary has been volunteering with the Housing Unit this past year.

Yasmin Aklilu - Yasmin is a Loyola University New Orleans College of Law rising 2L. Yasmin went to the University of Maryland - College Park for her undergraduate degree. Yasmin volunteers with the Louisiana Civil Justice Institute.

Donovan Francis - Donovan is a Tulane University Law School rising 2L. Donovan went to Emory University for undergraduate work and received a degree in Accounting. He worked for US Airways as a Senior Financial Analyst before law school.

Christopher Hairston - Christopher is a Tulane University Law School rising 2L. He completed his undergraduate degree at Lemoyne-Owen College in Memphis and worked at Save the Children in Arkansas.

Vivian Lee - Vivian is a University of California-Irvine rising 2L. She received her MA in Social Justice for Intercultural Relations from the School for International Training and her undergraduate degree from University of California-Berkeley. Vivian has worked at several non-profits and volunteered with prisoner outreach.

Emily Turner - Emily is a Loyola University New Orleans College of Law rising 2L. Emily received her Masters in Public Policy in Urban Planning and Economic Development from Georgia State University, where she also received her undergraduate degree. Emily worked for the Georgia State Senate Budget and Evaluation Office as a Policy Analyst.

Elizabeth Kelly - Elizabeth is a Yale Law School rising 2L. Elizabeth completed her Masters at Oxford in Comparative Social Policy and her undergraduate degree at Duke University. She has interned with Senator Mary Landrieu.

Katherine McGrew - Katherine is a Tulane University Law School rising 3L. Katherine went to College of the Holy Cross in Worcester, MA for her undergraduate degree. Katherine is a volunteer with the Street Law program at Tulane. She worked as an Executive Assistant for the Appraisal Company of Alaska.

Kelly Sawyer - Kelly is a Tulane University Law School rising 2L. Kelly went to University of Texas at Austin for her undergraduate degree, and she has volunteered with the Orleans Public Defenders in the Pretrial Program Services program. Kelly is fluent in Spanish.

Foreclosure

Rob Owens - Rob is a Loyola University New Orleans College of Law rising 3L. He has volunteered with SLLS since starting law school and he interned last summer with Jay Welch. Rob went to Clark University for his undergraduate degree and taught at Lake Ponchartrain Elementary in Laplace, LA as a special education teacher through Teach for America.

Steven Reed - Steven is a Loyola University New Orleans College of Law rising 3L. He has volunteered with the Foreclosure unit since starting law school, and he interned with Lauren last summer. Steven went to Rutgers for his undergraduate degree. He worked for the Hip Hop Civic Engagement Project in New Jersey.

Andrew King - Andrew is a Tulane University Law School rising 2L. Andrew attended American University for his undergraduate degree and worked as a Bill Analyst for the Texas Legislative Council. He currently volunteers with the Project for Older Prisoners.

Kimberly Donnelly - Kimberly is a New York University rising 2L. Kimberly went to Tulane University for her undergraduate degree, where she worked for the Tulane Environmental Law clinic. Kimberly speaks fluent French.

Nicholas Hite - Nicholas is a Tulane University Law School rising 2L. Nicholas went to LSU for undergraduate degree and interned at Advocacy Center last summer.

Ashley Banks - Ashley is a Tulane University Law School rising 2L. Ashley went to Duke University for her undergraduate degree and has worked on several political campaigns. She has also worked for several non-profits, including the Center for Progressive Leadership and the National Coalition on Black Civil Participation.

Bonnie Linville - Bonnie is a Tulane University Law School rising 2L. Bonnie attended University of Pittsburgh for her undergraduate degree and is fluent is Spanish. She has interned for the ACLU, Western Pennsylvania chapter.

Alex Forger - Alex is a Tulane University Law School rising 2L. Alex attended Michigan State University for his undergraduate work, where he was a nationally ranked tennis player.

AARP Unit (Jay Welch)

Erin Anapol - Erin is a Tulane University Law School rising 2L. Erin attended the University of Miami for her undergraduate degree and worked for the Los Angelus District Attorney's Office.

Ben Council - Ben is a Southern University Law Center rising 3L. Ben has volunteered with Jay Welch since the beginning of his second year of law school.  

Homeless Advocacy

Connor Deverell - Connor is a Loyola University New Orleans College of Law rising 2L. He attended the College of Charleston in South Carolina for undergraduate work. Connor has been volunteering with the Homeless Advocacy unit since starting law school. Connor has volunteered in Australia assisting refugees in obtaining visas.

Kia Jackson - Kia is a Loyola University New Orleans College of Law rising 2L. She attended Grand Valley State University in Michigan for her undergraduate degree. Kia worked at the Salvation Army in Detroit, Michigan before attending law school, assisting residents in the shelter.

Employment & Public Benefits

Anna Levin - Anna is a Loyola University New Orleans College of Law rising 3L. Anna has been volunteering with the Employment & Public Benefits unit since the beginning of her 2L year. Anna did her undergraduate work at Johns Hopkins University. Anna interned with Judge Helen Ginger Berrigan of the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana last summer.

Jessica Kersey - Jessica is a Tulane University Law School rising 2L. Jessica went to the University of Tennessee for her undergraduate degree. Before law school, Jessica was in the Peace Corps in Bulgaria.

Michael McGuire - Michael is a University of Illinois rising 2L. Michael went to the University of Wisconsin for his undergraduate degree. He worked for AmeriCorps in the National Civilian Community Corps in Maryland.
