United Way of Greater New Orleans has awarded a $72,000 grant to SLLS for the 2009 fiscal year.

This generous grant from United Way will enable SLLS to help more tenants and homeowners keep their homes.

Since Hurricane Katrina, housing has been a major unmet need for thousands of Greater New Orleans residents.

SLLS has been on the front line of Katrina recovery-- helping thousands of people deal with their housing crises. These problems still exist 4 years after Katrina and are expected to worsen this fall.
