Program News > 2009 Summer Clerkship Program Kicks Off

This summer's law student clerkship program looks better than ever. SLLS will have at least 28 summer law clerks working at its 4 offices this summer. The students will provide us with about 10,000 additional hours of support for our work this summer.

This summer's law students are from both local and national law schools: Loyola, Tulane, LSU, Mississippi, Wisconsin, Columbia, Virginia, Texas, U of Chicago, Lewis & Clark, Indiana, Valparaiso, Chicago-Kent, Minnesota and Duke.

Many thanks the Gillis Long Poverty Law Center, Tulane Public Interest Foundation,  Equal Justice Works Foundation, the American Bar Association, the other law schoools' foundations, and the students for their generous support and commitment to help us and our clients with our continuing efforts to recover from Hurricane Katrina.
