Anh "Joseph" Cao was elected to the United States House of Representatives for Louisiana's Second Congressional District. Mr. Cao is the first Vietnamese-American ever elected to Congress.

More than 40 former New Orleans Legal Assistance and Southeast Louisiana Legal Services employees and board members have been elected or appointed as judges, legislators or mayor. Mr. Cao is our first former employee or board member to be elected to Congress.
